08 Jan HollySys won China’s First “Cloud Platform Integrated” SCADA Integration Project
In October 2018, HollySys successfully secured the Integrated Purchasing Project of the Integrated SCADA System (for Lines 1 & 2) of the Hohhot Urban Rail Transit System. This will be China’s first network-level “Cloud Platform” for the integrated SCADA system of the Urban Rail Transit System in this project, which marks another outstanding achievement for our company. The Hohhot Railway Line 1 & 2 are set to commence operations by December 2019 and June 2020 respectively
Apart from being the largest investment in the city of Hohhot, which is the the capital of Inner Mongolia, it will also be the first rail transit system project within the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. HollySys will integrate diverse technologies such as IoT, cloud computing, big data, data mining, “Internet +” etc. to conduct supervision, big data analyses, fast inter-linkages among systems and emergency measures for numerous intelligent and specialized subsystems such as Power Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (PSCADA), Building Automatic System (BAS), Automatic Fare Collection system (AFC), Passenger Information System (PIS), Access Control System (ACS), public telephone system, centralized warning and communication system.
The features of the project are as follows:
- Adopts a combination of network-level cloud platform and station-level cloud mode. Under the normal operating mode, supervisory capabilities for depots and stations are implemented via the network-level cloud platform whereas those for stations are implemented via station-level cloud mode under a degraded mode. These modes ensure that a complete integrated SCADA system can be achieved.
- Traditional Real-time servers at stations and depots will be replaced via network-level cloud platform whereas deployment by regions of these servers allows the supervision of facilities in all stations. This flat type of deployment can further reduce resource needs for the integrated SCADA system while streamlining the data processing flow, improve data responsiveness and processing efficiency in order to facilitate system expansion.
- Workstations installed with the cloud platform allow depot dispatchers and station operators to deploy and manage the system easily, as well as further enhancing the simplicity and safety of these workstations.
- As any workstation of the network-level integrated SCADA system can be used to supervise the status of Lines 1 & 2, this facilitates users to implement multiple operations and maintenance modes.
