The ground train control system mainly includes: radio block centre (RBC), train control centre (TCC), lineside electronic unit (LEU), temporary speed restriction server (TSRS), track circuits, and balises. The TCC is the core of land-based equipment. Based on the driving orders, train route, train running status, and equipment status, train control orders can be generated to control operating trains based on safety logic calculations.

It is a ground train control system product that is able to satisfy operating requirements of 300-350km/h. It was successfully incorporated into the Zhengxi passenger line.

The TSRS-HS temporary speed restriction server possesses functions such as sending temporary speed restriction data to the train control centre and the radio block centre, managing the speed restriction for the whole line, and choosing the right time to disseminate temporary speed restriction data. It is able to draft, store, validate, split, issue, and display temporary speed restrictions for the whole line.
The TSRS-HS temporary speed restriction server is currently operating successfully on the Zhengxi line, Taizhongyin line, Qinshen line, Changji Line, and Chengguan line. In 2010, the TSRS-hs temporary speed restriction server acquired the safety integrity level 4 (SIL4) accreditation.
The LKD2-H passenger line train control system carries out track circuit coding based on the train route and data on the status of the railway track stretches. It conducts real-time framing and sending of active balise messages based on temporary speed restriction and train route data. It has functions such as TCC inter-station safety data transmission, inter-zone operation direction control, and inter-zone signal lighting, and protection from foreign objects. In 2012, the LKD2-H passenger line train control system successfully obtained the safety integrity level 4 (SIL4) accreditation.
The LEU-H ground train control lineside electronic unit (LEU) is installed in the cabinet of the train control centre, mainly used for receiving packet data from train control centres in real time and sending them to the active balise, which achieves the safe transmission of data.

The LEUW-H outdoor LEU system is installed at the trackside. Once the electric cable between the LEU and the active balise is 2.5KM, the outdoor LEU system shall be required to transmit balise packets safely.
The design of the LEUW-H outdoor LEU system adequately takes into account bad weather conditions such as outdoor high and low temperature, rain, snow, lightning, cold spells and typhoons. The cabinets are specially designed to facilitate working safely under very severe weather conditions.
The signalling safety data network equipment is mainly used in ensuring safe and reliable data transmission between the radio block centre, temporary speed restriction server, train control centre, and the interlock device.
The safety of the CXG-hs safe data transmission equipment between optical communication stations was designed based on the SIL4 requirements, and the data transmission is complaint with the relevant stipulations under the EN50159-1 standards. The equipment also has self-diagnosis and auxiliary maintenance functions, which can deliver monitoring status data through communications interface to the integrated monitoring device. The device has excellent expandability where it is possible to increase the relevant interface units and software functions in line with engineering requirements, and possesses the criteria for upgrading to C2.
The UM2000S (ZPW-2000S) track circuit is a China-produced version of France’s UM2000 track circuit. It is used for automatic and constant checking of whether the line is used by locomotives, and also used to control signalling devices or derailleur devices, to ensure train operating safety.
